Getting out from behind the screen

I have spent many years creatively working behind a computer screen as a graphic artist.  The opportunity of starting my own studio arose about a year ago and I went out on a limb and took that chance.  While hanging on that limb, I felt very confident about my abilities and had several loyal customers, but I lacked the confidence to go out and personally meet other business people.  I was invited to attend a weekly business group meeting who believes that the roots of building a successful business begins with the owner's personal growth.  The name of the group is Entrepreneurs' Connection (ecrefferal.com), a Reading, PA based group of business people who wanted to network and learn from like-minded entrepreneurs. I found the meetings to be very informative, energizing and fun with a relaxed - non-pressured - atmosphere.  I have learned a lot about leadership (check out one my fellow member's blogs about leadership - successisaprocess.blogspot.com). Also how to keep the positive thoughts flowing and becoming a healthy person inside and out (see Henriette's blog joyfullivinginbalance.blogspot.com). Wanting to become a better business owner, I decided to  join.  I am happy to say that today I am no longer dangling from that limb. Thanks to my friends at Entrepreneurs' Connection, I have branched out with the skills needed to grow my own success business.
